Think he lives here for club reasons only but his family still live in London, saw a tweet from him(https://twitter.com/sterling31 )saying he was picking his brother up from school so there's a chance i'm wrong but i can't see him commuting here every day.

    Agreed <ok>

I hope he signs too but if he doesn't because what we've offered "isn't enough" then show him the door with a thank you and good luck <ok>

If he signs then brilliant, he'll get more chance at LFC than anywhere, he's already made his England debut and as long as he keeps performing he'll get new contracts every year anyway so he'll be up around the top earners soon enough. If at 17 he's not willing to put the work in to earn the improved contracts then so be it. He has so far shown he's not afraid of hard work so he needs to grip his agent and tell him he wants to stay and accept what has been put in front of him (it's not like we're trying to fleece him with an offer of £20 000 a week....it isn't exactly going to put him on the breadline is it).

If not, he can go and waste away on Citys bench....over to you now Raheem....mega mega money to warm the bench or just mega money and first team games? The choice is yours.

Totally agree with you Billy. However you have to remember that this is football and has very little to do with good management or even ethics.

No thats fair comment Captain and I appreciate he's earned an improved contract offer, he's playing first team games so for that we have to offer him more. I've honestly given up expecting loyalty from any single player anymore Dave (Torres leaving for the Chavs was the end of my love affair with football to a certain extent) so if the lad decides a ten fold increase in his wages isn't enough I'll shed no tears as he walks out of The Gates <ok>

Don't want to lose him but neither do I want us to go crazy just to keep his ****ing agent happy.

I want him to stay but if he is being a greedy **** so be it. Assaidi can play and Ibe is next up anyway.

It just takes our club to be honest with him. After that up to him.

It sounds like a good argument from his point of view: that he should get the same as Downing etc if he plays more. The answer to that is to admit the likes of Downing's contract was a mistake that won't be repeated & that really he (Sterling) should be thankful for those mistakes because if they had worked or not happened at all, another better senior player would be there & Sterling might still be kicking around the reserves not even entertaining 20k a week.

And sorry apart from the odd exciting run & promise of futures bright what end product has he produced for more than 20+k a week? He's one of our attacking 3 every week: Where's the goals? I'd pay 50k a week if he had as many as say Suarez & we were winning games.

Take your 20k a week and shut your f*cking mouth lad.

WTF!?!? Where is all this "**** him, the greedy ****" coming from?!?! Jesus, you read one negative argument and you all fall for it and think it's true.

He has already tweeted saying he will sign after his birthday, and the amounts of money being talked about are just stupid, but his agent made him take the tweet down. So don't be kicking off at him because of some bollocks you are all making up in your thick **** heads.

And no, the woman he is supposed to have slapped was in Toxteth, he lives up here.

Now go and try grow some brain cells the lot of ya! <doh>

Yeah agents haven't done their damage to us eh Noble? He listened to his agent & removed the tweet: that doesn't prove anything other than he listens to his agent who has most likely planted these stories in the press. I see nothing wrong with him hearing what the fans would think if he actually is tempted to play these stupid games.

@JamesPearceEcho: #LFC paid out £8.6million to agents in the period from October 2011 to September 2012

But I believe most people's negative comments come with a "if its true..." Which makes them perfectly reasonable and unworthy of being called names.

Couldn't give a stuff about who he impregnates, hits whatever; that's what the CSA/ police are for.

Saved me writing it cheers Frank.

I'm not re-reading everyones views on the subject from the past few weeks but I don't remember anyone slagging him other than to say he should stay and not be greedy. I stick by everything I've said because its a case of "if". I'd have the same opinion whether we were talking about any youth players contract negotiations. Pretty sure every Reds fan on the planet will be happy if he signs a new contract.

Try reading the posts again Noble...after you've pulled your head out of your arse <ok>

It seems Brendan has called Sterling or should I say more accurately his "advisors" bluff. Apparently they're a bit angry now.....

As I said above, if they don't like it they can go get there money and Raheem can sit the bench somewhere. We have Assaidi who can come in and Ibe on the way.

    Next ( IF SO NOBLE)
