I'm sure if you looked you would find celtic supporters (Irish) among manchester police and that would probably explain why they made unprovoked attacks on rangers fans that night

HTF - Are you an advocate of the Dr Wayne Dyer school of philosophy - "If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change"? <eek>

he might be a cretin for suggesting the coppers attacked us because they were tarriers.

But the police definitely attacked totally innocent people that night with steel batons, even locals who were caught in the cross fire. Call me paranoid, stupid whatever you like but I know that screen was turned off on purpose. The reason why was because the area was getting dangerously overcrowded and it was only a matter of minutes before a deadly crush happened. I'm glad they turned off the screen (the one that was on from 10am til 19:55) because I know a lot of people would of died. sounds overly dramatic but I honestly believe it. I just wish the authorties would admit they pulled the plug for safety reasons. Why were police in full riot gear already standing at the exits to picadilly at 8 oclock? it was reported they were drafted in later. utter bullshit.

Trevor has a valid point, they (GMC) turned off the screens.

Then they harried and provoked a group of pished Scots/Glaswegians then are dismayed when they attack?

Anyway, I missed all the ****e.

I missed the whole match, ended up getting my leg slashed by some dick trying to hit the coppers with a full bottle of wine. if that hit me on the head I would of been ****ed. I saw that wee dick head copper getting chased down that street. what the CCTV doesnt show is the almighty roar the chelsea / burnley fans made as they chased them down the street. it was superb <laugh>

Trev, it was a monumental cock up the whole thing. They where never prepared for numbers and they should share in the blame. A big problem was also because it was so close every ned who got a giro that week was able to head down guys who couldn't point out Ibrox from copland road.

I got a lift back to Stockport after the game from 2 girls just driving along the main street <laugh>

Seen some horrible things in the square though. My mate was wearing a kilt and needed a piss, so he pissed into a plastic cup. He filled it and then just tipped it onto the ground and filled it again. As he poured it out the cup some guy tapped him on the shoulder and told him to stop getting piss on his wife. We turn round and this woman is ko'd on the floor in a sea of piss <laugh>

I actually went to use a toilet, but the inside had been smeared with ****e. That along with high temperatures made it impossible to use them. I bet is was a tarrier that smeared his ****e in the toilet <grr>

The Official report states that the TV screen was broken and the repairman could not make any attempt to repair it because he was being pelted by angry Gers/Chelsea/Millwall fans.
