Lot's of new faces can only be good for our chances next season plus put a few extra bums on seats. The new owners are trying to turn this club around by investing in a new squad and backing Powell. Hopefully they'll be successful.

Let's get some new centre back in now please. Needed desperately!

If this is true (nothing on Oldham official website yet) and for £375,000 it's a steal. He's worth £750,000 minimum plus you have Cedric too from us. 2 quality players you have. Good luck for season
 
This finally feels like a team for a serious challenge... plus these are young players that can stay with the club for perhaps longer than a season, which will be a nice change... we might be able to come up with some chants before they've left. As many others have said... CB still a real problem, and we only really have 2 left-sided players unless Youga is going to make an appearance again.

Also, as all our Christmasses seem to be coming at once, I'll have a young 4th striker and a decent RB!!!

Are we facing up to the possibility that Elliott, RB :(, Jackson and BWP are the only 4 players in our first team that were in the team last year?
 
Hmm... I worry that Ainslie is one of those guys that we get excited about because he's come through the ranks and looks nippy but doesn't actually have any end product... far too early to tell of course, but I guess I wouldn't want to be counting him as a first-team regular (even first-team regular bench-warmer) if I was pushing for promotion... seems too early.
 
TVR, I see a lot of our U18 football (most of the home games) and Cal is the real deal <ok> He will only get better this season :)

On 606 I was saying that Jenkinson was the next player to come through and look what happened ........ we sold him for £1m plus add ons.

I think we will see a lot more of Cal than Jordan Cousins who hasn't developed as I had hoped :(

After Cal I think the next one to come through will be Harry Osbourne.

That's great to hear, as I say I don't have any negativity about him, just wondered where the euphoria was coming from, so will be very happy to see him come through. OK... that's the left sorted then... which brings us back to the CB...

Agree with those sentiments, although still think Cousins will be ok, he is they youngest of all mentioned (i believe) meet you down there next season for a coffee mate as do get to quite a few u18's games.
 
When are they going to announce these signings? They said it would be yesterday? Then today? I hope that they both are there for first day of training. Cannot do what we did, last season, getting a team together during the beginning of the season.
