Spurs must have been the 2nd game (1st home) that season. 1st season we played them away first (it was the week after the win at Arsenal), and I remember us playing them midweek at the start of a season because I ended up going round town with a load of Spurs fans before getting the first train home the next morning.
Likewise. I even remember Ghilas coming on and having a few good touches and looking quite sprightly, and thinking he'd be a quality player. How wrong was I?!
They were our first home game in the second season and they tore us apart, winning 5-1. In the first season, we were really lucky in the away game. We were under the cosh most of the game, but Geo came up with that free kick and we managed to nick it. My business was in London at the time and a couple of my staff were Spurs fans, they got me into a Spurs pub ahead of the game, but wouldn't answer their phones after it.
