I think the club has been very supportive of managers who have been ill ...... you adopt a notion and stick to it .. without any real knowledge available as to exactly what transpired ............... my take is he was ill + incapacitated and unable to do his job [ properly ] was likely on a big salary and the club wouldnt ... were unable to to give a new contract not knowing the extent of his capability ... let alone another say giving him a 1 year contract then another whilst still unable, as he is now.
All these highly paid "staff" are on medical insurance which would cover being out of work due to "ill health" and hospitalization .. may even be on CITY''s club plan as illness started within employ

Your take is based on pure conjecture, mine is based on fact. NP wasn’t happy at being got rid of, and the manner in which it was done, that’s fact

Nice idea, but we all know it won’t happen.
There’s more chance of Putain withdrawing from the Ukraine and giving back the Crimea.
We all know that our problem on the pitch has been scoring goals. I’ve actually enjoyed the football we’ve been playing recently - it is very slick - but with little or no end product.
It’s very easy for us to criticise Fally and Armstrong, Wells and Mehmeti, but the truth is they are who we have. We simply don’t have a 20 goal striker since we let Weimann go.
If we went out into the marketplace for a 20 goal striker it would break the bank. We are restricted to taking chances on little-known ‘potentials’.
It’s also worth remembering that if it wasn’t for Max’s ‘brain fart’ on Saturday we’d be 2 points better off and probably not having this conversation - and it wasn’t just Max at fault for the QPR equaliser…..
Liam is right insomuch as he can’t score the goals - it has to be the players, BUT he can direct his team not to push everyone forward to attack a team that was already on the ropes. We didn’t need to do that - and it left us open to be caught on the break which is exactly what DID happen. It brought back bad memories of the Wolves game under LJ when we were 1-0 up against 10 men and everyone pushed forward - WHY? They were already beaten and we should have let THEM over-commit (both QPR on Saturday and Wolves all those years ago) so that WE could hit THEM on the break and kill the game off.
Maybe Liam is trying to appease the fans by trying to give them more goals - but taking stupid risks that end up backfiring - like Saturday?
Blimey, anyone reading this might be fooled into believing that I know what I’m talking about!! <laugh>

Nah, it’s ok we know you too well<laugh><laugh>,

seriously though you are right. We are extremely naive at times, whilst Max did indeed have a brain fart, what the hell were we doing committing so many forward for the corner leaving us so exposed to the counter, and having done that what on earth was Cam doing as the last defender giving the ball to their player. One long boot then left us totally exposed and Max who was really left in a no win situation . That’s down to Liam. He should have ensured we weren’t committing ourselves so much and leaving ourselves exposed.

In think it’s a massive stretch to call Weimann a 20 goal a season striker… He achieved it once in his career, so, far more of an anomaly than a regular occurrence. I always called him the good weather striker, as he usually stared the season with a flurry of goals, as he did for Blackburn this season, then falls away. I always loved his work rate and unselfishness though, one of our best players over the last 4-5 years for me.
It didn’t help him with his time at City that he was played in almost every position except GK & CB.

That’s a fair comment - except the other season when he WOULD have scored around the 20 figure but had about 6 goals WRONGLY disallowed for offside when he was clearly on.
 
I don't believe it was anything to do with players being too far forward.
It was a complete cock up by one player's mistake.......if his decision was to have stayed in his box we'd have won that game. He decided to charge out to the halfway line....mental. You can go right round the houses but it was as bad as mistake as you'll ever witness.

Pring was very high as the last defender and Max was effectively a sweeper keeper, that’s not purely his Decision it’s the manager who sets out the team. Once Pring gave the ball away and the ball was played over his head Max was in the sh!t. Yes it was his fault but not his alone. I’m pretty sure Pring apologised for his part in the debacle
 
Watch most teams corners they leave one player around the half way line. Which is what we done but Pring went forward towards the ball and tried a little dink of a header.
Most teams the last player who has time, either brings the ball down plays back to the keeper. Or they put it back towards the box.
We tried to be clever when we had time to play the ball forward.
Max should have seen when the ball came back and retreated not come forward.
Like I said if you watch corners on the weekend you will see the same. All go forward leaving one player on the halfway line. That will be us and other teams that do it.

Spot on. Prings job was to be the last defender, to prevent the kind of breakaway that lead to the goal.

Once he committed himself into an attacking position he had to NOT give the ball away. Once he did we were in trouble.
