I'm a bit unsure on this one. I didn't like it when it started, it's a death trap imo but the more sports washing that goes on and after the bull of a world cup makes me think not watching this would be the right thing
I just don`t know why they still go there, especially after the rocket attack on the nearby oil refinery last year. Lewis is dead against it really, with their human rights abuse and I read the other day that there has been 13 executions in the past fortnight alone( I wonder how many over this weekend?) .Other drivers have voiced concerns about the safety of the track even though there has been a raft of changes to some parts. But I think it is only moving back barriers and walls mainly, and some alteration to turn 22 and 23.
Both Ferrari taken new ICE units!!! They say it's precautionary but after 1 race when they had worked on reliability over the winter! Not looking good for anyone to challenge Red Bull any time soon.
if they are going to take a pen anyway it just makes sense. get trh whole pain out of the way early. realistically his best slot is 2nd, maybe 3rd so that's 22th or 13th so why not go right to the back and be kitted kit for the later stages.
BTW the p1 time isn't within an asses roar of last year's pole. load more time to come.(unless changes made to track have cost a second
Considering there is supposed to be an PU freeze there are a lot of them failing unbelievably quickly! I wonder if they have pushed things a little too far 'fixing' their reliability issues? Seems like Ferrari have lost 2 or 3, Honda 2 (Alpha), Merc 1 (McLaren) so just Renault that seem to be holding up so far!
I know it's only fp3 but Red Bull seem 1 second faster than all the rest! Doesn't look like anyone will be troubling them during the race again. Rest of the pack are quite nicely matched.
Guess the pundits were right when they said Bahrain would be unrepresentative. It's actually far worse than it looked there
Probably because it makes what was going to be an inevitable Max walkover back in to a potential scrap. Will be interesting to see where the Ferrari's line up around him. Looking like a Nado pole on the cards here.
Oh he could totally still win it from there, but makes the process of getting there more interesting.
