I don't even know where to start. I hate the track. I still love Lewis. I have begrudgingly respected how brilliantly Max has driven this season until the last two races. He needs to grow up and learn how to defend fairly. Ultimately, despite all the mess on track this was always going to be a Hamilton win with Max's tyres. I think Max was very naughty with that 'allowing an overtake' in the middle of the track but I hope they leave that now and just let them head on to the last race.
Remember when Hamilton got a 25s penalty for letting a ferrari past then reovertaking it next corner? Something we've never seen before or since. Fun times
Just all round driving throughout the race. Stand alone the brake test thing could be seen as a misunderstanding. But added to everything it looks bad.
That was at Spa in 2008 iirc, missed the entrance to the chicane, so in front of Kimi, let him back past straight way then overtook at the next corner. Kimi washed out in the rain slicks, Lewis won, got the penalty giving Massa the win.
Max: Called to the stewards in 40 mins Tbh I hope they just have an on track battle next week. Surely, surely Max didn’t brake test him to try and cause a collision? If he did the book will be thrown at him but is he honestly that stupid? Imagine how intense quali will be next week!
I can’t see them penalising Max any more , not saying they shouldn’t , but don’t think they want to mess up the last race .
More shocked he got a pen tbh, since that's the new standard. The whole collision bit is just baffling though. Why slow up that much, why rght in the middle of the track, and why didn't Hamilton just blast past? So odd.
