Of course with 33 games left there is more than enough time to turn the season around. But the point is...are we likely to do that with this manager and this squad? How many games does a manager need/deserve in order to show his aptitude for management, or lack of it? 15 games? 20? How long do you give a newly assembled team time to "gel" , or players time to get "match fit" ? At some point the nettle has to be grasped. Bas has never sacked a manger, and doing so at this stage of the season is probably not something he anticipated. But he has made it clear he wants to be a "hands on" owner, so the decision is his to make. GT will probably want to stand behind the manager till the last possible moment, but he can ruthless if need be. If results do not improve I can see a change of manager around Dec 3rd, after the Ipswich game , if we lose it.
Quite right, GT was ruthless enough with his players at times but whoever Dyche is reporting to at the moment seems to be happy to back him by loaning in another goal shy journeyman so would they really do that if they were having doubts about his aptitude?
That would be Baz I would assume! So it does look like Sean will be with us for a while! might target Bournemouth as an away game next season!
All hope would be lost if we get beaten by them given our recent record against the Tractor Boys! I would be surprised if Bassini lets his new investment slip into the relegation mire as going down would really affect the club quite badly on and off the pitch (forget any new east stand etc!) Mind you like you say would Bas know what we need to improve the situation and how much does GT want to get involved given the fact he gave the thumbs up for Dyche to take the role.
Well thats one game not wasted , Hopefully a second tomorrow , sorry for reviving this thread , just following lloydys lead! Honest will let it die now !
