Found this on Twitter, posted by Saddler stats. Doesn't seem to bear much relation to league position though. Number of shots on goal: Top Six, Bottom Six 1) Barnsley - 130 2) Southend - 103 3) Blackpool, Accrington - 98 5) Bristol Rovers, Coventry - 96 19) Scunthorpe - 77 20) Fleetwood - 75 21) Walsall - 74 22) Charlton, Peterborough - 72 24) Bradford - 58 Number of shots against: Top Six, Bottom Six 1) Barnsley - 48 2) Southend - 49 3) Luton - 58 5) Bristol Rovers, Wimbledon - 69 6) Shrewsbury - 71 19) Plymouth - 103 20) Bradford - 111 21) Walsall - 113 22) Gillingham - 117 23) Scunthorpe - 122 24) Peterborough - 130
Surprising stats!!! How are we not at the right end of the table!!!! We are 1 of the best for most shots on goal and 1 of the best for the least amount of shots at our own goal. Yet we are struggling at the bottom. Peterborough on the other hand are top of the table but are 1 of the worse for shots on goal and the worst in the league for the amount of shots against them. So how are they top and we are struggling? Simple answer is that they take their chances and we don't. We need to be more ruthless.
If you look at the assist stats here, there aren't any Gas players in the top group. http://www.espn.co.uk/football/stats/_/league/ENG.3?src=com
