Heres hoping 1) Our strike force gel and score some goals 2) Our depth in the squad pays off as the season progresses///
Kiko said he expected the team to improve over 2nd half of he season - and that was when (I think )with Vlad the impaler in charge! We still need to convert more chances, but also possibly , it's making better chances. Last night, Sarr's pass behind TD being a case in point. However, also last night, Hughes would surely have scored if Gray hadn't swiped at it. I understand why Gray tried - he really does try, but just isn't getting a break. If he relaxed (easier said than done) he would be all round better. The moaners on the Wobby ( who make me cringe) would have him in Northern Premier league. But he can do it. 2 examples. His goal at Burnley in our 3-1win from RD's pass- superb without thinking. His return pass to GD for the winner at Wembley was just perfect.
Yes Gray is really a scapegoat...... sadly he is costing and worth too much for us to sell on.... I would have thought a loan spell would have helped him.. but I imagine the bosses will have epxected more from him in this league......
Well that just heaped the pressure on him. I don't think he's the brightest bulb in the floodlight pylon and between that article and his abysmal scoring form, lockdown shenanigans and everything else it's getting more difficult to elicit any sympathy...
I know - maybe it says more about the rest of the league! I mean have we scored 10 away goals yet? Sarr, Deeney and Gray should have about that much each really!
