Bans
  • All registered user banning requests need to be open and transparent - so must be done via the FAO Supermods thread
  • If you request an own team member ban, it is a site ban, temp or perm, you decide – saves them disrupting other boards
  • If you request an opposing team member ban, it is a board ban, temp or perm, you decide
  • You cannot request a site ban for an opposing team member
  • If members are having issues with spammers, troublemakers etc – encourage them to hit the report button, it is then down to the relevant board moderators to resolve (except spammers which are removed by supermods daily)
  • Spam, porn, or posts encouraging violence will be dealt with instantly without consultation by the Supermods
  • Porn gets us blocked from google no matter how soft and costs us revenue – we display ads for revenue, there are strict guidelines
  • If a banned member decides to create a multiple account, Supermods will again deal without consultation
  • Abuse of the administration team will be dealt with as considered appropriate by Supermods

No, you've just shown me the rules. Not once does it mention length of ban or what you do to 'earn' that specific ban.

We tend to rely on our board mods for what requires a ban on their board & their knowledge of the poster as to what is required

Boards are very individual places ..... what is acceptable on one board may be a shooting offends on another .... you seem to want a one size fits all solution .... that doesn't work on here

If it was left to the site owner anything would be allowed .... just go & have a read on General Chat

Not true,1 little post about ROI loseing by 6 and he banned me from the ROI page.<grr>

Sorry, Latin from school still playing a part in my life. Sine die translates literally as 'without a day'. Means forever, basically.

And no, I am not challenging your honesty. Absolutely not. I actually trust you above all others on this subject, as I can recall very clearly from 2 years ago that we were in absolute agreement about the issues, and the way forward. I'm sorry if my manner suggests otherwise. It is probably a combination of my writing style, banging headache, and wading through acres of crap when I'm trying to discuss a serious subject.

Ah, just spotted the 'you' in my comment. Not surprised you're upset. It was a reference to the administration as a whole, not personal. Takes more than one person to be a Masonic Lodge (that was my best attempt at a joke tonight).

To be clear, Glory was given a ban, which as far as we know had no limit, so apparently a life ban. I don't know the dates, but BRB banned him one day & he was reinstated the next. Getting tired now, but this might be related to our mod or mods threatening to quit, so I'm sure they'll remember the dates as they don't do that too often.

If this is how you treat someone you trust I would hate to see you when you don't trust someone .... talk about a dog with a bone .... you would give my labradors a run for their money

Think you can read all the stuff back tomorrow & then offer me a proper apology

Otherwise you may find you are top of my 'to ban' list (that may or may not be an attempt at a joke)
