I'm not so sure - I think it reads they are a bit embarrassed by the commotion their stories told. I can't say too much as wasn't there and only briefly saw the video, but it does sound like in the heat of the moment they played off the fans anger.

Fair play. In my head it sounds suspect - I just think from the convo I had where we spoke about what had happened, to the statement issued - there is a huge difference in mentality.

Admitting fault is a huge thing.

Maybe it's like one of those caution things. They turn around and say, either you accept this or we just ban you! Not many people will argue with that.
