Kinda reminds me of Crouch for England. Not a great player but somehow has that midas touch in a certain team.

Were not, that's why I said RATIO, Torres has played what 23 for Chelski and scored 1 and is surrounded by better players.

Best just needs more game time to sharpen up his shooting, hasn't played enough first team football for me. But still putting them away.

Credit to him for getting goals whenever he plays. He's just ALWAYS offside. It's so annoying.

I actually think he's better than most are giving him credit for, even in this thread. He's no world beater, but by comparison to Shola, Ba or even Carroll he does look a footballer, in that his touch is decent and his passing is too meaning he can bring other players in. Its an odd one because he's not as good as Carroll (time will tell if he'll be better than Ba, or maybe even Shola too if he loses this run of form) but there is something about him that looks like he could do a job. He's not quick, not hugely strong (by comparison to Carroll etc), but he does have a decent level of technique, similar to the attributes Xisco could've had if he ever played...

I think what best has, is the guts to take a chance, to gamble. He busts a gut to get the last touch/get into a position so if he gets into a run of bad form, it will not last as long as he will take a chance that might come off.

The best part is while Shola or Lover need 7 or 8 chances to score, Best does it in 2 or 3. Could be our goal poacher.
