Come on now boys, back to Fordy's thread. I refuse to be intimidated by these cutting remarks. Your starting X1 against Ipswich - how are you going to stop Chopra from scoring?
It's quite easy to stop Chopra, he's hardly any good, they got better players like Leadbitter, Priskin, Scotland, and young Carson who's a good young player
chopra who likes standing offside and pretending hes not oh sparkey u can take off the rose tinted specs he dont play for you no more
Just shows how much you don't know about Chopra's game pal. He's one of the best strikers I've ever seen playing off the shoulder of the last defender. He's instictive, and the number of times I've seen him being pulled up for offside when he was clearly not when the ball was played was ridiculous. If the ref and linos get it right, he'll score for fun. Oh, and by the way, I did know "he dont play for you no more".
Going back on topic.. I personally don't see us being able to realistically challenge for top six with Marv at centre mid. His positioning, reading of the game and technical ability are just not consistantly good enough for that level. For this reason I really hope he is not made captain. I would like to see the following team : - James Ribeiro Wilson Fontaine Nyatanga Adomah Cisse Kilkenny JCR Stead Pitman/Maynard Based on our current squad anyway. Hoping for a genuine LB, new CB and new RB to add depth to the squad.
Anyone would think they've signed this Killkenny from Barcelona, rather than Leeds who didn't exactly pull out all the stops to keep him. From what I saw of him last year, think some Bristol City fans are going to be in for a nasty shock.
James is nailed on for number one Right back is really Ribero if he gets fit, but we look very vaunrible there. Left back could be McAllister if he can find his form, but I like Fontaine there as a stopper. Centre backs are a real toss up becasue everyone has been so bad for so long its hard to decide. Carey and Stewart seem like the natural pairing to me, but Nytanga and Wilson will want to be considered, and we are desperate for a "New Sahun Taylor" Cisse is the only real choice as a holding midfielder this time, Skuse gets around but not much else. Elliot gets the nod to be the driving force dispite the fact we have signed Kilkenny, I may change that opinion when I have seen him a bit. Right wing will be Albert. Left sided will surly be Woolford to start, with Balossie (????) having to win that shirt. If we want a chance of getting a challange going we need to keep Maynard and play him with Stead, and we need them both fit. Pitman is a great option to have as well, and I will be interesred in what Taylor can do.
