Downing Street double down on reversing the Winter Fuel Allowance. The PM won't listen to noises and won't be blown off course.

I agreed with them changing some of this policy and not wasting money but the threshold is way too low. Equally I think a clear movement of income to another policy that improved the lives of those with less would have been welcome ‘we’ve taken it from here and moved it to here which feels more sensible’ I’m sure all could have lived with. Sadly that didn’t happen or wasn’t made clear. They’ve pulled the tax on tax dodgers and done this.

He might give you a wave when on his boat trip to India marra <laugh>

Britain and India have agreed a long-desired trade deal that ministers said would add £4.8bn to the UK economy a year by 2040.

The agreement, which was finalised on Tuesday after more than three years of negotiations under successive governments, has long been touted as one of the biggest prizes of Brexit.

Keir Starmer said the “landmark deal” with India would “grow the economy and deliver for British people and business” after a call with the Indian prime minister, Narendra Modi.

Tax exemptions for Indian workers as part of the deal. Companies will save money by employing Indian workers instead of British workers <doh>

    NI hike for British workers.

NI exemption for 3 years for Indian workers

I’ve concluded this party are desperate to be voted out at the next GE.

Donald Trump has announced a trade deal between the UK and the US, saying the agreement is a “full and comprehensive one”.

He wrote on his social media website Truth Social:

The agreement with the United Kingdom is a full and comprehensive one that will cement the relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom for many years to come.

Because of our long time history and allegiance together, it is a great honor to have the United Kingdom as our FIRST announcement.

Many other deals, which are in serious stages of negotiation, to follow!
