    You loved the club scene though. Admit it. Cruise's leg breaking sexiness cannot be denied in that scene.

    I think the whole thing was that Max not only feared running from him, he also ended up with some level empathy with him. As the scenes rolled on he kinda saw it was just his job, albeit a brutal one. As a man who was chasing his dream in an honest way with the whole limo plan, on some level he wished he had the balls that Vincent did to take what he wants. He could however also see that Vincent was as trapped by his job and consequences, just as much as he was by his good nature. Its that classic risk/reward/good/bad scenario for me.

    Personally I thought the whole character interaction and finding of common ground was what made it. And Cruise playing the part of psycho like a dream. Cruise was one of those I kinda struggled with, but that film I sat back and thought "yeah that's why he gets paid the big bucks". The not believing him as the bad man only lasted a short while for me, and it gets better with another watch.

    It would have been far more fitting and happier ending if Vincent had survived, tracked them down to a small cafe and gunned them both down.
