Another bizarre and frustrating game at home. Gills registered a whopping 29 shots today and over 40 entries into the opposition's box but our inability to be clinical proved costly with far too many shots straight at the keeper. Well taken goal by Nevitt at the end, seemed to be an instinctive finish, something he's been missing for many months.

1. Vokes
2. Clark
3. McKenzie

Started game really well and dominated until final 10 minutes of first half and lucky to not concede.
Second half similar and thought we lost after conceding but glad to see Nevitt get the equaliser in dying seconds
Mom difficult but
Nevitt
Coleman
Vokes

I think we were all over them yesterday and we just needed to find a route B to goal, as route A never worked all afternoon. When they park the bus you have to find a way of towing it out...

Nevitt for finding the route to goal
Clark little work horse
Palmer-Houlden certainly would give him chance to start again, just needed one ball to fall right for him

Not sure why I haven't given anything to Vokes, also Hutton's balls in always delight me. To be fair everyone put in a decent shift, another time we'd have won 4-0 but sometimes when up against it, the opposition close shop and did their job effectively on us - much due to the new coaching guidance.

In some respects it was as good as we have played all season, the stats quoted previously about shots and touches tell their own story, but our lack of a clinical finish almost proved our undoing until Nevitts last gasp intervention. The save from Palmer - Houldens shot in the first minute set the tone if that goes in we win by a hatful, but nothing really ran for us despite our domination.

Lots of good performances (and a couple not so good don't get me started on Ogie!!)

1. Nevitt just for the goal he has deserved to have something finally go his way this season.
2. Vokes a quality act Andrews can learn so much from him
3. Coleman, calm and understated but won a lot of ball, pressed well, was a dominant force in midfield and passed to right coloured shirt.

Maybe 2 points dropped or 1 gained who knows at this point.

We had 51 crosses into the box on Saturday but only 13 were successful. There's one thing overloading the box with balls in, it's another with having someone on the end of them.
