I felt in this first half the lads did well equally, so it makes it somewhat difficult to choose a best three, second half we just forget about. So anyway, I'm going for my three that got my attention in the first 45 mins:

    1. Dempsey, I thought the lad was on the way out, so was good to see him in the line up.
    2. Lee, now I will admit that I can only just about make the numbers out these days, let alone anything else, 10, 11, Lee and Reeves, then thinking Lee's old number was 11, and you wonder why I get confused. I've now probably given Lee the credit due for Reeves, who knows.
    3. McKenzie as least for the goal anyway.

Dahlberg gave an ok performance in the first 45, but he didn't have a lot to do.

    1. Robbie McKenzie - By far our best player on the day. People still fail to remember he's not a natural left back but looks more accomplished than naturals on that side. Didn't put a foot wrong in my opinion and we were far worse when he went off injured. Last ditch clearance in the first half was superb.
    2. Reeves - Put himself about, trying to make things happen. Probably covered the majority of the pitch trying to get the ball back.
    3. Dempsey - stereotypical Dempsey performance really although disappointing for all if that was his last game for us.
