There is very good read about Stan, by Jim White in the Daily Telegragh dated 22/9. I'll copy it in when I can in 2 or 3 days time, but it's easy to find on newsnow, now, if you are interested. I highly recommend it anyway, and wish him and his carers the very best.

Excellent article but it is a very depressing read. When you can remember him in his pomp it almost seems like yesterday, the cruellest of diseases...

Excellent and very touching story indeed. We will never have a player of his calibre anymore. He really was our own Pele or preferbly George Best.

It's his fault I have spent 45 years of mostly irritation following QPR. But I still love him.

Me too! It is like a life sentence! I often ask myself why did not follow all my elder cousins and support Spurs.

Plus, it is not only Stan. You can also add Phil, Gerry, Dave T, Dave C, Don M, Don G, etc, etc.

But there is only ONE Stan Bowles. Those who has the pleasure to watch him, know eactly what I mean!!!
