Don't worry, we aren't all plastic corporate ****s who think only the big clubs have bad things happen to them.
Can't believe the anniversary wasn't marked at the games at the weekend. Tell everyone you know. Let's have the whole ground on their feet and all those watching at home or in the pub aware of what it means. Remember the 56.
I do wonder why this, in the age of grief, was not given the dignity of (measured and heartfelt) recognition by the sport, the media and, although, less curiously, the industry. Some things will never change. I watched them die, the very least they can have is a minute of my time. It was horrendous to watch the first time around, I watched DMD's posted video and it rocked me. Abide with them.
I will join in too, it is disgusting that this is not remembered in the same way that Hillsborough is.
Would be great if we could have some sort of tribute on Saturday for the 56. Not many bigger games or stages on which we could remember them.
Guidance for use of flags at Wembley Stadium Wembley Stadium upholds the highest standards of Health and Safety. The following guidance is in line with the stadium’s grounds regulations. - We know that many supporters like to display flags at football matches and Wembley Stadium will always be as accommodating as possible. - Flags are not generally confiscated, however the obstruction of gangways, access routes, exits and entrances, health and safety signage and stairways is strictly forbidden. - In the event of an emergency we must have all access and exit points clear. - Wembley Stadium reserves the right to confiscate flags if they are very large or may compromise public safety, obscure someone’s view, a camera position or if a flag carries offensive, discriminatory or inflammatory messaging. - Flags more than 250cm in size at their widest or longest section will not be allowed and flagpoles greater than 1m in length will not allowed. - Any articles that could potentially be used as a weapon and/or compromise public safety are strictly prohibited. - Permission must be sought in advance from the stadium and event owner to arrange use of the very large supporter flags that are designed to be passed over people's heads. In such cases the flag must be flame ******ant and the organiser bringing the flag into the stadium will need to provide the appropriate H&S certification. Entry to the Ground shall constitute acceptance of the Ground Regulations. I doubt there's time. Maybe a bed sheet with colours/message printed, laminated and stapled on? Any ideas?
100% support this . Seen city v Bradford city quite a few times and the Bradford fire is stored away in my memory like it was just yesterday. Would be brilliant IF the ball was booted out of play as the fans clapped for a full minute though I don't think it would be that simple to do during the game RIP the 56 who died that day.
We are smothering as many Arsenal media groups as possible about the applause on 56 minutes, glad to see you lads all spreading the word too. Team differences have to be put to one side for this and all of us get together to make ONE NOISE. The FA are a disgrace for not given the 54 Bradford and 2 Lincoln fans and families the respect and remembrance they deserve.
