Was probably the best thing about the match today. Didn't cut up at all and should be good when the proper grass starts to grow around the false stuff.

Ours was a very good goal. And I honestly think we’d have won had they not got that second as we were the better side second half up to then. (I don’t think we deserved to win btw, just that the game changed on a mistake)

Agree with that an excellent goal and I thought we were the more likely to win it. But it is Sunderland and we all probably knew what would happen when Whickham came on.

Still the 3rd highest scoring team in our division, its letting the feckers in thats the problem.

I sit close to the front. You can see where the fiber strands are and once the grass underneath comes through it will thicken up canny. Obviously can't do it while Elton and Ed are there so it's now or never seemingly.

Doing if fully in a few years according to the minutes of the fans meeting. 2023/24 I think, no concerts and a full new undersoil heating and drainage system apparently

Takes 3 moths for a pitch to grow need to wait till next season now due to the concerts. i say artificial turf is the way forward or a perspex roof. they will be heaping sand on our pitch before long light rain forecast before the match tomorrow.

Can't have a fully artificial pitch in the Football League.

Pitch was as I expected. That is the weave would make it look better but can't work a miracle on the grass itself. That will struggle until spring.

They must be -- they only cover 41% of the pitch.

Hope so. I fancy us to smash Fleetwood on Tuesday and a good pitch will certainly help.
