When you look at Arsenals standing and size they are about where they should be, ambition is something we all have (like dreams).

Must make you mad knowing your closer points wise to Southampton, West Ham and Liverpool than you are to Leicester.

We could be if we had a manager who cared and wasn't so stubborn like a prick. It's breathtaking that this ****wit still has support from some deluded Arsenal fans.

So basically the fringe players (apart from Giroud), what about the first team that have let you down again?

Those players for a long time were our main players, not fringe, Giroud was number 1 for most of the season.

Ramsey is a first teamer who constantly lets us down, Mertesacker another, and Gabriel too ever since he has come in, wow has he been bad.

We need to get rid of Giroud, Wilshere, Ramsey, Walcott, and OX.

Replace Giroud with a world class striker, bring in another top quality winger for Walcott and OX, and a world class CB and get rid of Mertesacker.

Maybe Arsenal have always underachieved given the fact that it is historically the club in London with the most resources and fans. Historically the club has been conservative in approach during the period the Hillwood dynasty and now under Kroenke. Next year everyone's place in the top 4 will be under threat with renewed challenges coming from Liverpool, Manchester United and the detestable ones from the King's Road.

Thing is, the "Ox" has one decent game and you all go nuts for him again.

TBH I would replace Gabriel and keep Mertesacker as back up.

Mert's getting older so he could get even worst, while Gabriel could maybe improve. I'd make Chambers number 3.

Maybe you should consider replacing your arrogant expectations with hope. Maybe then you will be able to support the club you claim to follow rather than show nothing but disdain and hatred for it every week.

Some of our supporters don't really understand the concept of support.

I'll just repeat again... If you think what we do is impressive for the resources we have available to us, then good on you. Just don't get so worked up when others don't have as low standards are you.

The only people I've seen getting 'worked up' are the ones constantly bitching about the manager/players/board/club and seemingly anything to do with Arsenal. This idea that people who don't engage in it are somehow content with 'mediocrity' is of course bollocks, but I suppose that doesn't suit the narrative of those who enjoying moaning.

Meh... you've long since proven that you only moderate comments made by posters that you disagree with and properly read and comment on those you do agree with (and let them say whatever they want). I've seen God's Cock write insulting posts. I've seen loads of people slate A87. He might write tosh a lot of the time, and put the sensible things he has to say in angry writing but some of the stuff said back to him is just plain old insults and bullying. That you choose to selectively only remember a select few 'bitching' posts doesn't mean equally as many from others appear on here.

And where has anyone said that those who don't 'engage' are content with what we do? God's Cock wasn't simply 'not engaging'... he was actively saying that what we do is not mediocre. His opinion of course. And I post mine disagreeing with it. Which you don't like. Boo hoo.

I just fail to see how anyone can say that they have high expectations at the same time as thinking that what Arsenal achieve is not mediocre. I'm jealous in a way... I'd love to happy with simply seeing what we do as an achievement.

Times have changed and so has Arsenal. Our model is business first and whatever comes after is a bonus. As much as old school supporters like Piskie, Cym etc want to keep on backing their manager and criticise those who don't, it's the latter supporters that Wenger and Management really care about. They couldn't care less about die hard types, their aim primarily is to make money, sell out their season tickets year after year and make a big profit, this is the legacy that Wenger has brought and will leave our club now. Is there any surprise that the environment in the Emirates is as flat as a pancake most of the time?

In the past, you used to back your team no matter what, but it used to be a working class man's game where everyone could afford to go and take their kids. Now these same types are being priced out and replaced by the Tarquins of the world.

You reap what you sow and ironically, it's the supporters that Wenger brought in droves, are the same ones calling for his head.

There are a lot of younger supporters here that came to support Arsenal due to Wenger. Also a lot of people i know also share similar views. But yes, it's not necessarily the younger lot, but those do make up the majority.

Hmm... Dont know about that. Lots of assumptions here.

How do you know the ages of posters here? How do you know they only started supporting arsenal when Wenger took over? When you say 'a lot' of people you know... How know arsenal supporters do you actually know? I reckon I know personally know about 6 other people who support arsenal. And to make a conclusive statement about supporting habits I'd need to have info from about 1000 times more people than that.
