You've got to think about the wages St Ledger is likely to be on though. No-one will come close to matching them. Would you take wages likely to be about 1/3 of what you're on now just to secure a longer term contract? Or would you like to continue to rake in the cash, go on loan somewhere to keep in shape, and take the pay drop in a years time? Whatever happens, it's unlikely he'll play again for us unless we have a major injury crisis. The same goes for Danns and Beckford I expect.
We still owe Neil Danns and Sean St. Ledger around 1M each in wages. If we offered them a lump sum of around 300-400K a week to leave then I think they would go Jermaine Beckford still has another year unfortunately, I dont get why we didnt just give him to Bolton
I know for an almost certain fact that Jermaine Beckford is on 27k a week at your place and I also heard that he was the highest paid player at the club so don't think Nugent or Konchesky are as high, still stupid wages to be talking in the championship though. Schmeichal was on 14k at leeds, I don't think he'd be on anything over 20k more likely around the 16-17k mark.
If you offered them £300-400k a week, I suspect you'd be able to get them to agree to run stark bollock naked from Hinckley to Melton Mowbray.
