    As an Irishman:

Things I love about England (in no particular order):

    1. English football
    2. English weather
    3. London
    4. English art, theatre and literature
    5. English humour
    6. The attitude (I.e polite queuing, moaning, showing your anger at strangers through the medium of the occasional disapproving look and aggressive thoughts)
    7. Borrowing aspects of other cultures and making them british (kebab, curry, coffee-shop culture, etc)
    8. The best education system in the world
    9. Characters like Boris Johnson who make politics comparatively interesting
    10. 'What the papers say' (bbc radio 4, Sunday night)

    What I dislike about England:

    1. People who say things like 'let's keep England English/moan about a lack of St Georges day celebrations/complain about immigration' without actually having any knowledge of English history or the benefits/reasons for what they moan about.
    2. Black Gangster culture
    3. When equality doesn't mean equality - black history month in schools, discussions to bring in the 'Rooney rule'.
    4. John Terry, Frank Lampard, Joey Barton et al.
    5. Condemnation of intelligence amongst the youth
    6. Lack of interest in Literature/Art etc amongst working class
    7. Fascination with celebrities
    8. Nick Clegg
    9. The idea of soldiers being heroes
    10. Too many people who take life too seriously.

Sure I've missed a few, and I'm sorry if I've offended anyone.

Only because of negative propoganda by the press and the ease which some people blame the EU for the government's own failings, though most people voted for political parties which will keep Britain in the EU at the last election. My passport says British and that's what I'll always be, part of a wider community and against the break up of GB
