Hmmmmm not good enough for me. Like what has already been said we haven't replaced Bent yet so why should we think we'll spend the necessary money in January to find a suitable/adequate replacement? The fact that January is even being mentioned is an admission of failures. They had from january till august 31st to replace Bent and they failed. They knew for months that Gyan was unhappy then loan him out after we have a chance to replace him. It stinks.
I think majority on here felt that Gyan was an adequate replacement if back at full fitnbess and form - but greed has taken him and B£nt away from us To lose one of our most important players on the eve of the end of the window is one thing To lose one of our most important players after the window has closed is galling as a fan as it then becomes impossible to replace him. The only position you're allowed to loan in ouside of the window is a keeper so it makes the entire Transfer window a gyoke (see what I did there!!) Bendtner I think will do OK - he might not be the one that we all wanted but has PL experience and can score goals (also is very tall - an important fact especially against Stoke!!) As Bruce was playing golf with the owners and they have stated that they will support him in January, I guess we have Bruce until January so the BoB need to simply quieten down on the anti bruce front (the owners are unlikely to sack him now) and get to the pro Sunderland front
The board have to be seen to be backing the manager up until the point where its no longer plausible. I don't believe he has till January regardless of results and if he does questions will start to be asked about the running of the club in general. Bruce has a run of games now that will decide whether or not he remains as manager and no press release will make me think otherwise. How many times have we seen it where a manager has been publicly backed and then sacked the next week. I hope to god we win on Sunday and can get this season going.
And promised him funds to spend in January. If we lose to Stoke he doesn't want to be anywhere near Ellis Short holding a golf club. I wonder if Short knows Dick Cheney? Maybe he could take Brucie hunting some time.
Short doesn't need Cheney, just bring his wife down.. She was alledged to have fired a shot at Skibo castle, when some people were on their land... So if Mrs Short is seen, ask why?
It was bruce talking - not the club giving him a vote of confidence in the press - Bruce wasn't publicly backed - he was personally backed - big difference between the 2. People now need to get off Bruce's back - regardless of what BoB's want he will be here so we have no choice but to back him - Start on Sunday - if the fans turn up and start singing Bruce Out what good is that going to do the team - chances are their heads will be down form the start - so it will do absolutely no good - if the fans turn up and forget about wanting him out and get behind the team that he puts out then that can only be for the good of the team and everyone watching the team
I don't think there'll be any Bruce out chants to start off with, on the contrary I think they'll be a surprisingly gritty f***ing come on encouragement from the crowd, however if the players arent pulling their weight the frustration will grow and the anger may be turned toward Bruce. If we are looking like losing or indeed lose there may well be Bruce out chants, can anyone really blame someone if they choose to voice this opinion (9 defeats from the past 10 home games in damning) Personally, no matter what I think with regard to Bruce I wouldn't join in with any Bruce out chants or booing or anything of the like, I've never and will never boo the team and ill be staying till the end encouraging the players best as I can.
I just know we will all feel so good on Sunday night, I just know it, no ITK just telling you it will be so.
