Sorry Aussie but SAFC owe him loads. Hes been totally misnanaged at Sunderland. By every manager except Poyet. He's only had one run of ganes since joining Sunderland and he delivered.
I don't think he's got anyone to blame but himself. Buying a bottle of champagne costing more than possibly some people on here earn in a year and now trying to hold the club to ransom over a new contract, deserves all the stick he gets.
No doubt the lad has an attitude problem. I remember Di Cannio saying he deserved a good slap. If he does'nt sign let him go but I'll doubt he'd get a much better deal elsewhere, he's not as good as he thinks he is or at least has'nt shown it. The last four managers must not have seen much in him during training to give him a chance in the 1st team nor did he set the world alight when he went out on loan. Admittedly he had a good end to the last season but does this warrent a much improved contract ?
Seen his relative saying on twitter that how can he turn down a contract that hasn't been offered to him. Not sure what's going on with our club at the moment but we are not getting it correct off the pitch. I think we have got a good manager, let's not waste this opportunity by falling short off the pitch. I bring this up all the time but we stopped spending money the moment Ellis short took 100% stake. Only spending money we had recouped from sales.
Couldn't disagree more. The club owes him nothing except last weeks wages. I'm a strong believer that you get back out what you first put in. And it's been mentioned a few times about his attitude. We obviously don't know the full details but if he'd shown the right attitude and temperament from the get-go he wouldn't have gone out so often on loan and would have played far more games for us than he has done. It looked like that at the end of last season he'd finally wised up and showed us what he could do. He needs to keep doing that to prove to everyone he's finally fulfilling his potential.
I swear they've picked this up off here : http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2014...s-not-been-offered-a-new-deal-at-sunderlan-1/
Short took 100% control in May 2009, and you say he stopped spending at that time? 2009/10 Bent £16.5m Frazer Campbell £3.5m Lorik Cana £5m Lee Cattermole £6m 2010/11 season Mignolet £2m Bramble £1m Gyan £13.2m Sessegnon £6m Season 2011/12 O'shea £4.5m Brown £1.5m Elmo £2m Gardener £6m Wickham £8m Ji £2m Season 2012/13 Johnson £10m Fletcher £12m N'Diaye £3m Graham £5m Season 2013/14 Altidore £8.5m Giaccherini £6.5m Mannone £2m Mavrias £2.5m Scocco £3m Bridcutt £3m Moberg-Karlson £1.5m So there's a few bob here that Short has spent. The list doesn't include undisclosed fees. Source www.TransferLeague.co.uk
My dad would have told them to speak to me or my boss. In the world outside of football that's how we do things. His dad to say that he hasn't been offered a contract, which I find it hard to believe is just creating an atmosphere and bad blood between Connor and the club. I stand by my comment before.
He's been through more managers then I've had hot dinners and only now is somebody putting any faith in him. Seems strange!
£16-20m for Henderson £24m for Bent £9m for Henderson A ridiculous loan deal for Gyan before being Sold... Your point is invalid
There was bad feeling until his dad piped up, now its gone, lets wait and see if he signs once he's been offered one, my guess is he will or his dad would have just thought **** you lot. With those two comments he 's smoothed everything over for the time being, he's done exactly the right thing for me, it 's all about opinions mate
