Just waking up to this news about the United trio but the rumours about Brown and Gibson have been rife for a few weeks now. I am slightly dissappointed that we cannot build our own team based around local lads and have to have United's B team players and not find our own little gems but I suppose we need players as our squad is thin at the minute. Gibson - at 23 year old I think he fits in well with our policy and will keep his value so we wont loose £ on him. He hasnt really had a fair crack at the whip at United so maybe a fresh start up here will do him good, so overall a good signing. Brown - at 31 he is nearing the end of his career but for a few million why not? Experience will be added and he is versitile across the back four. O'shea - at 30 he still has a few good seasons in him and is in the similar mould to Brown where he plays across the back four. He is one of those players where he works well with Man U but you just wouldnt have him in your team, but looks like we will soon. To sum up, I think we should take Gibson but we dont need both Brown & O'shea just one will do as they are similar players or like many people are saying get Evans for a few quid more. Still no left back though? or left hand side for that matter so hopefully he addresses this area sooner rather than later.
