I always get him and Walker mixed up. Whichever one of them it was that was playing left back a lot for Tottenham doesn't like playing left back. There was talk of him wanting to leave at the back end of the season because he wanted to get back to playing on the right because I suggested it as a way we could try and bring him in on loan for the last year of his contract. I couldn't see him dropping down from Tottenham to anybody to be used as a left back, especially not a newly promoted side. I know you'd say the same about Huddlestone joining us last summer, but at least we're playing him in his preferred position.
Oh right, who is after him? Some Championship clubs? Can't imagine PL clubs risking 3m on a youth who has only shown himself in Scotland. You sure? QPR were rumoured to be after him for 6m + Karl Henry.
We seem to be getting him for about £2M plus clauses. Also been linked with Everton, WBA, Swansea, and Southampton amongst others.
I was going to be rude but I just popped over onto your board and realised why you're on ours. Not much happening is there?
From what I've seen, and heard, absolutely not. The lads seemingly got tremendous ability. Not seen enough of him to have my own opinion but not one person has a bad word to say about him, everyone reckons he'll go very far in the game.
Not an awful lot now that we've signed Ulloa, beaten Everton and finished our 'international' preseason. Fair enough. I'd probably want to loan him out before throwing him in the deep end but we'll see. Surprised I've not heard anything about him if he's as good as you reckon though.
Apparently Robertson's hero is Matthew Upson, he remembers being 5 or 6 and watching him in his prime.
To be fair Leicester won't have to pay the add ons for Ulloa anyways, can't see him doing enough to activate them IMO.
I'd not really heard of him either, I'd noticed him in the clips of Ryan Gauld that kept getting passed around but only realised it was him when I saw the YouTube compilation of him and they were the same clips. It's all attacking play in that video but I can't see him doing any of that stuff for us, defences at this level don't leave a flank completely wide open for you like they are in those clips, but he does look to be excellent in attack from them... Great dribbling skills, shot, passing and crossing ability and lots of speed. But we all know youtube videos are nothing to make a judgement on, specially not when they come from a level like the SPL. I can only go off what the pundits say about him, and the ones who have taken the time to watch him have all been mightily impressed. If he was at Celtic rather than Dundee more than likely he'd be an almost household name and take 8 figures to get hold of.
Yeah, Leicester fans infamously over-hyped Yann Kermorgant over a YouTube video Either way, hope he does well. Nice to see a lot of money being spent on British players in the Premier League this season.
