SSN £5.5M bid for Dawson

5.5 million for almost 29 year-old injury prone player seems to be a ridicoulous sum. It just dont feel like our transfer method att all. I dont beleve it.

 

Michael Turner (to S'land) and Roger Johnson (to Wolves) moved for £4 mill each, Scott Dann cost Blackburn £ 6 mill. If we can get Dawson for something in between those figures we would do well as I rate Dawson higher than those three.

Dawson's weakness is pace. This is what I've heard is why Spurs/AVB won't play him as he will be exposed when Spurs play with a high defensive line.

Played deeper he's brilliant, a true leader and ballplayer at the back. YES PLEASE

 

Too much, 5.5 is bad enough but its ridiculous if its £10m. Id have Huddlestone though.

I share the same fears I think? Isn't he 1) Often injured 2) Another player rejected, or at least not First team regular, by their Club as Green, Bosingwa, Nelson, Fabio, Park and Johnson 3) about as fast as Kenny after a blow out? And 5 or 10 million? Norwegian Kroners maybe, but not them Pounds!

None of us like to think we are, but when the sudden realisation of an impending job loss is
staring you solidly in the face, we'd all panic a little. I'm awaiting the justificaton from his own lips.

For me we need a good CDM as well as a good CB. isn't M'bia a good CDM? Mind you I don't see him coming to us - for Marseille to do some kind of swap for Barton sounds. well remote! But I'd love it.

I'm not quite sure why everyone thinks he's so injury prone. Until last season his Spurs record was quite good...........he's no Ledley King !!

RvP is one of the best strkers in the world. That is the difference.

 

he would strengthen the defence if he stays fit so we would need to splash the cash
would be a much better signing than Sebastien Bassong though, he is Naawich standard

 

If he stays fit this would be an excellent and much needed signing imo.

 

Im totally certain that Dawson won't come to loftus road. Theres three reason for that. 1. He costs too much 2. his wages are too much for us 3. He is too prone to injuries. Surely sparky wont go panic shopping like that?
