I think we will get a draw against United or Arsenal that we didn't expect, and i don't think we will beat Palace which we have all identified as a game we can win. Burnley beat Man City at home and we where excellent against Chelsea at home, those results alone show anything can happen. I think any of the bottom 6 could get out of it as it is very tight, it won't take much for us to get out of it, again that is the same for most of the other teams down there. I have had enough of predicting it, there is very little we can do apart from agonize so we might as well enjoy it as surely that's why we all go to football?
Anyone who thinks the Allams will leave while we are a Premiership club is deluded....whatever they may say...they like the kudos that goes with owning a Premiership club....they will enjoy the income from the extra TV money & will probably increase the interest they pay themselves as soon as the extra cash comes in. I believe the only possible way they will leave is if we are relegated & the proverbial golden goose is shot
Really it's up to the players. If they are happy just receiving their big pay cheques and finding somewhere new to play next season then we can't expect much. We need strikers who can put the ball in the net, something that has been a struggle to find. Others need to get forward and score if the strikers can't.
The more this season goes on I am starting to get the feeling that our destiny is to go down, just to throw the spanner in the works for the Allams name change fiasco. He will then see where the silent majority are.
I don't think we'll beat palace and burnley are a bogey side for us, they'll come here with a nothing to lose attitude and get at us. We need bruce to put some fire and fight in the bellys of some of our players. I know before yesterday's game bruce said we needed 2 wins but I honestly don't know were he thought these 2 wins were coming from, it's more likely we'll pick up the odd point but it'll be more about what others do or don't do
Without Jelavic in the side we're seemingly ****ed, we don't seem to be able to win a game without him. Equally worrying is that N'Doye seems to have gone backwards at a rate of knots, in a similar way that Hernandez did when Jelly went missing. I was hoping that N'Doye and Hernandez could strike up a decent partnership, it unfortunately appears that they both need a creator, a workhorse, and that player is missing. It all depends when Jelly us back, and you can bet that Brucey will know that too, and that will probably mean that he'll be brought back too early. Sound familiar?
Those who would prefer their team to get relegated if that meant a chance of ownership change should give themselves a good punch in the face. Cock.
it's more to do with the fact that he wants us to die, says we're irrelevant and has pilfered our £200k - a rather unusual marketing strategy towards ones customers
I think that's a comment that comes out of frustration and we all make them at times Be careful to wish for relegation because you can easily slip through 2 or 3 trap doors and end up like Pompey, Blackpool , Wigan It's a long way back after that.
It was always going to go to the last game, if not the last kick of the last game. There are no 'easy fixtures'. I'd sooner be playing against teams who want to win then playing against fellow relegation battlers who's first instinct is not to lose.
Unless we pick up now the last game will be irrelevant We simply don't like like we can win any game at the minute 1 point out of 15 with even harder games to come.
That's a shocking load of supposition. They stuck a load of their own cash in to make the club safe from being bankrupt, and you have the audacity to imply they don't deserve to earn from the success? Good on them. Aside from quaint notions of charity, they deserve some return even though they didn't come into this to make money. They could have lost the lot. They bought a championship club, so how can you berate them for he notion they will run if we go down. You have been listing to too much propaganda from the more ******ed elements on here who look at success with green eyes and consider that entrepreneurs are the devil. EDIT: if you are just staying that as a fact, fine, but it does tend to imply they don't deserve to enjoy their success!
Yeah, I'm new to supporting a football team me with only 50 years and counting of solid, unbroken support ( that means attending games) for Hull City under my belt.
And Tottenham didn't break into a sweat. Predicting a draw in the Geordie derby from one nil to Sunderland. Defoe kissing his badge after he scored made me feel sick. He'd have signed for Newcastle if they'd had offered more cash then Sunderland.
Oh dear, of all people on here TubbyLard is the last one whose supporting credentials should be brought into question. You really have dropped a clanger with that one.
I don't want us to go down. Allam has hinted that the name change would be dropped if we go down, but then it'd only be temporary wouldn't it? We'd be forever dreading the day we get promoted and he brings it up again. That'd be proper ****. I want this ending once and for all, the FA to tell Allam to **** right off, tighten up their rules so silly twat owners can't **** about with clubs, his web of lies unravel and everyone see him for the **** he is.
Nearly half of Burnley's points are from those challenging for European places. That sounds good except if you think of the opposite side of things, it means they've lost a lot of games and points to teams around them.
