I'm beginning to think that myself,a lot of the stuff Dai say's makes sense when he keeps it to football and team selection/tactics.but the rest is so negative
The way I see it, Newcastle game we were unlucky, and the score flattered Toon, but the Everton game was poor, and our defending at spurs, was well below par, felt sorry for Vorm, but I'm sure we'll end this first season on a high! Bongo agree there regarding Dai, but hell you can set the clock on him, if we start losing!...............
Ok we lost 3 games in a row, and that's something no swans fan wants, but lets put it into perspective, we are "The newbies" "Relegation fodder" and we lost 3 in a row, to Newcastle and Spurs who are fighting over a Champions league spot, and Everton ,currently in 7th, all huge teams with a wealth of experience, and we all knew at the start of the season we were going to have a tough run in,and thats been well and truly proved, but we HAVE given a good account of ourselves ,won a lot of admirers and as far as i'm concerned we have earned the right to be in The Premiersip next season and we will be there
I'd love us to stuff Everton next season the way we did Fulham!................ please log in to view this image
When we promoted people were saying we would be another Derby County-would only get 15 points.Well, we have 39 points and still have 6 games left-that is success in my eyes .
Agree there Pete, many thought we wouldn't survive with our 'Tippy Tappy', well we have and with some very good results, and with some strengthening this summer, we'll have an even better crack at the PL next season!............... please log in to view this image
Barring disaster we will survive so that means this seasons campaign has been a success. End of. Having said that we had a great run to get to 39points and since then have stalled. Everton did a job on us - no complaints there. At 1-1 against Spurs I thought Spurs were there for the taking but their quality told in the end and they beat us fairly 3-1. I have issues with the Newcastle match. We could have played all day and not scored. The issue is that when our tactics are not working - which they clearly weren't, then we MUST have a Plan B. That is something we must work on for our second sesaon in The Premiership
Dobbie could have been our plan B, he is far more of a goal threat, than Rodgers signings of Lita & Moore, but Rodgers has done a Sousa!!! And he'll not get my vote, on that cock-up!......................
agree sod plan B, we are safe but we should not take our foot off the peddle like we have since the fulham game. there is a hell of a lot of money at stake that should be attractive enough to play for, we have achieved our main aim to stay up but that should never stop us aiming for the highest finish we can achieve, we have looked a different side since its been assumed we are safe and to me thats a shame....
Forgot about the extra money issue the further up the table we finally end up! We definitely need to end on a high..............
"we have looked a different side since its been assumed we are safe and to me thats a shame...." Can count on one hand the times I've agreed with you. Spot on, so I'm now moving on to my other hand.
