My reply to you is very simple. Who is this 'they' that you talk about? If you think Radz has a say, think again. We are currently being run by the Shermans. Radz is keeping them sweet so he can make his big pay day. Everything is financial to the Shermans. Everything. Anyone who thinks they're in it for the glory, give your head a wobble. Also ask yourself if they waited until Bielsa's last result before making their decision. If you believe the answer is 'yes', then it's magic beans time.
I've come to the conclusion that elland doesn't bother to watch us play, the match might be on (a dodgy stream) but he's certainly not paying attention to any of the finer detail. Too busy planning his next clickbait headline.
I think I was the first on here to join the dots between aaronson, marsch and American owners. I don’t doubt the ‘marketability’ benefit or the influence. I'm sure they're in it for the money. I'm also sure we sounded marsch about taking the job in the summer and I would presume we approached him again sometime in Feb when we were imploding. Marsch said when he joined that 2 weeks previously he didn't know for sure he was leeds next manager. But made it clear there'd been discussions and the implication was he was expecting to be a leading candidate in the summer. Maybe he's a liar. I don't believe there was some master plan hatched to bring him in the day we did to make him look good and Bielsa bad. Because that would be madness. If you can tell me what you have to gain from bringing Marsch in ahead of time... other than the wacky notion that he might keep us up and Bielsa wouldn't, then i'm all ears fella. Likewise the idea that you'd want him straight away but then would risk relegation, and wait a month or so while we get royally humped - taking away valuable training time with the new coach - just to give your new guy a softer start? With our league position? Utter madness.
And I don't disagree with this in principle. But that's not how it was presented to the fans, was it? My problem with it all is that it was part of a cynical master plan. Did Bielsa really lose the dressing room? There is evidence to suggest that he didn't, but there is also evidence that there were individual disruptors in the dressing room. Will we ever know the truth? Probably not, as the Shermans are now in charge.
Agreed. In footballing terms. We're talking Shermans here. All about $$$$. $$$$ disciples often instigate madness in their pursuits.
Serious question then WJ. How do you think they'll achieve their alledged holy grail ? New (developed) stadium would increase revenues but maybe they see more dollars from the US market as an easier option. Hard to make money in football ownership unless you grow the club and have a successful team you'd have thought. Or maybe it's to be more of the Ken Bates model...spend the absolute minimum whilst milking as much as possible before eventually selling up.
Speaking as an interloper to Yorkshire (i.e. apologies in advance), I'm sure a Loiner is defined as someone from Leeds, just like someone from Glasgow is a Glaswegian, & someone from edinburgh is a cnut.
Where is your evidence? Mine is that Ayling and cooper went to bielsa trying to sort his amateur tactics out. Very easy to blame raph.. Rodrigo and Llorente... But i know it was not them.
