No he's not ahead but he's not getting to play at all unless Konate is injured. There's not enough game time for squad players. They will move on to find it. Both could play top end PL football. We cannot afford to lose players like this.

Quansah is very much part of Slot’s plans, don’t worry. He’s going nowhere. He has plenty of appearances under his belt, and Slot does trust him to come on @ 80 when seeing games out. Earned an England call up to boot.

It’s not easy to get games at Liverpool FC, it’s bloody tough so keep your head down and take the chances when they come. We’re not ditching these guys, they’re part of the process

You don’t often rotate your cb’s though. All built on partnerships so I can understand that one. It’s not like cbs get as tired as wingers or midfielders and need rotating.

Agree Konate and VVD are obviously first choice (although Slot went with Quansah and VVD for the first game) and you don't mess about with the CB pairing.

Slot has played Endo ahead off Quansah too though

Yes he has played him ahead and that's my point.

Quansah has not filled slot with confidence. He's made a call off the opening day of the season and since then was very sparing withbtje kid and thst really dripped the confidence.

Young player lacking confidence = more mistakes = less minutes.

    Quansah needs to just play.

    Elliott needs to just play.

    McConnell needs to just play.

The u21s can forget about it. They should all be looking for moves and their next part of their careers.

First off none of them are good enough to solve a first team problem. No full backs (imo) Beck, Stephenson, Chambers, scanlon. They should all try move on.

Nyoni won't develop doing what he is doing.
Danns looks ****ed sadly. consistent back injuries and he just needs to play. Clwill never get a gsle off slot.
Koumas has done alight in the championship but again I can't see him play for us ever.

If we look at the squad in a 4231 formation we have some pretty clear issues with the depth and quality.

Tsimikas wouldn't play for many in the prem. Not as first choice lb.
Endo wouldn't get a game anywhere ij the prem imo. He is too slow.
Gomez is busted. He is alright but he is really just always injured.
    Jota is always injured
Nunez can't score. He makes the oddest runs for a striker.
Cheisa has.zero pace and is not wanted.

That's a lb, a cm, a cb and a striker before we close 3 players and even before we talk quansah and Elliott not getting any time at all.

We need a new lb this summer but now imo we need a rb as much as Bradley can't stay fit. We need a genuine cm option as a first team player and ideally to replace nunez that's 4 players. Put in vvd and salah and it's like oh ****.

This is of course all about wishing to compete. If we are happy to be inland around 5th we can make do.

And that assessment is why we cannot afford to be isolating players like Quansah and Elliott, we need them happy and playing as part of the squad. Hopefully Slot wakes up to this.

So far he seems a now kind of manager. I think he's been similar enough in style to klopp to use his team well and probably put a better Base down early on in terms of defense.

I don't rate the tactical approach to set plays nor the squad use but he may.feel free to do more next season with a title.

Lfc have been on a strategy of picking academies up and down the country clean for 3 to 5 years. However if you look at the team itself.

Kelleher was from.ireland and signed as a schoolboy
Bradley is exactly the same. A long term association.
Quansah has been at the academy since 5.
    Jones likewise.

Elliott is the only non academy poached player in the squad.

All the rest are kicking their heels in the u21s or failing on loans.

Yeah well we'll soon have the title and celebrate as we should just hope the coaching staff are learning and they go as well because I think there's an opportunity to dominate at this moment time.

Happened a few times, Slot seems to prefer Quansah at RB for done reason. Not that much though since he picked Jones at RB over against Everton

Endo got motm for his CB performance against Southampton in the League Cup. Also played as CB in FA Cup game. He's actually played as a CB for most of his career

Chiesa is the only player that Slot has signed, so why doesn't he play him? Unless we are back to the transfer committee way of signing players when the manager had little say, it makes no sense. He and Elliott don't have the pace of the others but they sure know where the goal is and how to progress the ball towards it. Having these players and not using them when Gravenberch and Szoboszlai are running on fumes is looking like really poor squad management.

Slot is a coach, not a manager. He will be involved in the transfer process but not in charge.

Which means he will get more chiesas.

The propaganda out of lfc is ramping up also.

Klopp didn't want x or y etc etc.

If you'd only trust us all the worlds best players would be monitored. Etc.

This season in many ways now looks like a last hurrah of the old guard in a transitioary English season where a very grateful etc of fans get a title that the squad wouldn't be normally up to.

Next season will be down to transfers rather than slot. Coaches can only do what thry do with enough good players.

This is why ange is for the sack, he's ruined players by taking risks but he has grossly under delivered for the squad available.

This is why arteta should be under pressure for doing some similar things.

This is why iriola is getting plaudits for massively exceeding expectations but again that squad was built.

Hughes will either do it or not. Slots fate will be in his hands. (And his will be in fsgs, due to money)

You're right. I wouldn't expect him to be in charge of transfers but surely he will be asked if he wants a certain player before they are signed. The players must fit his system and if they don't then we have the wrong scouting team and whatever the person or team is called that okays the player in the first place. I find it hard to believe that the only player signed so far, wasn't given the go ahead by Slot which makes it baffling that he's not being used.

Or we appointed Slot to sit our style of play.

Agree that Slot must have an input; I would expect it to be like before - he doesn't get the final say but nor do we do anything without his agreement.
