Very good point. We passed on Amorim for this reason I think :emoticon-0141-whew:

absolutely,

We have to go back to the core "beliefs"

a. look for value
b. look for age
c. Look to the stats saying a player is worth more now than he is being sold for.

More minamino types (probabaly) hopefuly more salahs and such.

Klopp worked over time on robertson. He certain did not want to start him for a good while but he was bought beacuse he met a, b and c.

We made a profit on minamino even though klopp did't work with him much.

I see little value in older players to the club unless they can hold value as they are dirt cheap.

The propaganda says FSG wanted ISAK and klopp wanted Nunez. I'd ask just who in fsg as at that point is julian ward saying he would not have signed nunez?

Or we appointed Slot to sit our style of play.

Agree that Slot must have an input; I would expect it to be like before - he doesn't get the final say but nor do we do anything without his agreement.

I think the Zubimendi saga was a good illustration of how it will work. Slot outlines a profile of player, they all agree that Zubimendi is the best fit. When Zubimendi changed his mind, Slot must've preferred Gravenberch to any other options that may have been outlined.

We only sign what we consider to be the right fit. We don't buy stop gaps or make do's

Yea we do.

Tsimikas
Minamino
We've made do for years with Jones and Elliottm
Endo.
We've just signed chiesa last summer.

There's few enough buys we have just gone straight for if not for.an actual gaping hole in the first team

Under fsg I've not seen one real case of 2.players signed to compete.

Klopp might have said macallister at 6 or lcm. Endo was a drop gap. Szoboszlai was his rcm.

Gravwnberch seemed.a last minute value play for future thst klopp hadn't.an idea where to use right away.

Diaz was for left wing.
Gakpo for cf.

I guess nunez was bought to scare them all up as a very different sort of player at 9.
