Other news from this is that Seaborne and Butterfield are apparently in the 25 man squad. We ain't signing a left back though.
 
Oh there's me waiting all summer to see what number of should get on my new Barnard shirt.
 
I bit gutted for Jack Cork that he lost #8, I thought he was going to hold on to that long term as a key player. Excited that JWP has been given 16, I hope that says he'll be used a bit this season.
Interesting that 3's been left open, it doesn't seem like we're going to be signing a left back so that seems a bit odd. #10 left for Ramirez conforms with reports in Italy, and I'd expect #15 for a new CB and #17 for Philips if he signs.
Of course you shouldn't read so much into numbers..they seem to fascinate me for some reason
 
Another observation; after being told they are free to find another club, Adkins has even not given squad numbers to Forte, Barnard or Dickson (though Forte has just gone on loan to Crawley for 3 months). Also, no squad number for Reeves, which I find surprising. He seemed like a decent prospect to me, and I had no idea he no longer features in Adkins' plans!

He's almost 21 with no sort of run in the side, and not even a real position. I'm not even slightly surprised.

Indeed. But if we sign: Ramirez, Phillips, a 21 or under CB and an experienced CB. We only have to register the experienced CB.

Ramirez, Phillips and the 21 or under CB won't need registering. I think I got that right?

When I looked at the rules it basically seems to say you can have unlimited players under the age of 21.
