Pre emptive reports saying Rashford and Henderson have been left out of the provisional squad. Rather unlike Gareth. Sounds like Gordon has a good shot of going now instead of Rashford.

Gordon and Trippier made it, feel for Pope but can't really complain.

honestly think Tino and Hall have a good chance at the next squad for the WC '26.

33 in the provisional squad - which 7 miss out on the tournament squad?

I'd say if they continue on this trajectory they will definitely be there. We have a problem at LB right now and our RB's although class are getting on.

I think the squad looks good. He's chopped a few players I thought he should do as already mentioned. Can't think of there is anyone who missed out I am surprised about though.

Ramsdale, Dunk, Wharton, Quansah, Maddison, Bowen, Grealish / Mainoo / Jones.

Not convinced by Grealish... but he'll go. Mainoo / Jones - take your pick - Jones more experienced obviously.

Doesn't sound like Southgate is confident Shaw will make it... that'd be an interesting turn

Plays the CAM role at Madrid and I guess if you are including Foden and Palmer etc in that role then yeah?

    Starting XI for me:
    Pickford
    Walker, Stones, Guehi, Trippier
    TAA, Rice
    Saka, Bellingham, Foden
    Kane

Personally I'd drop Trafford, Quansah, Dunk, Maguire, Gallagher, Jones, Bowen I think (if Shaw wasn't fit, I'd take Bowen I think)

    Leave your a second XI:
    Rambo
    Gomez, Konsa, Branthwaite, Shaw
    Mainoo, Wharton
    Eze, Palmer, Gordon
    Watkins

    With back up:
    Henderson
    Maddison
    Grealish
    Toney

Probably be very close to Seabass' prediction though

And Madison and Eze really, just seems weird calling attacking midfielders forwards, and makes it seem like there's twice as many forwards as midfielders.

Yeah, had to pad out that midfield with TAA! I know he plays there for England but he's a ****ing RB!

Agreed - he's been a big part of Palace's turn in form since arriving from Blackburn.

Not that we'll ever find out but we should be pushing the boat out to try and nick Olise from France - Born and raised in London and I'd have him ahead of several like Bowen etc. Surprised as he missed out on the French squad...

Agree but he won’t. Should’ve been blooded in ahead of Mainoo, because he’s a very talented kid.

Palmer would be very important for England.

But he won't get a game over Kane

Replace Longstaff with Wharton and that’s a 10 year upgrade.
