Hogan could do ok if his attitude changes and he gets involved instead of doing his disappearing act or passing to the FB every time. Hes got the speed to run at defenders but never uses it.

Cheers Ciarrai, might be good for us if he can stay fit.

I'm guessing our Joey wont be happy, hows he gonna get back in the 25 ?

Surely were not gonna waste a space for waiting for him to return ? I'm guessing his loan will be until jan when we can fit him back in

Would like to see him get past a fully fit and on form Owen Hargreaves..not a hope in hell !! IMHO

I dont think we will see Barton in a QPR shirt again, theyd have kept the number for him if he was coming back.

Stripping a number off someone is a big thing and I think we did very well in convincing Taarabt to take the 10 so Park could have the 7. I dont think Taarabt would have been too happy if he was told he couldnt have the 7.

I'm not sure that the shirt numbers mean anything yet, even at this stage. I mean, they may be an indicator but I don't think they're set in stone and prove who is in the 25. Infact, he doesn't even have to decide on the 25 until a few games in, just after the window closes, right?

But I do have a feeling that he will put at least one of the youth players into the 25, which is a great sign. It's a great sign generally that he's been taking a handful of youth players on all of the tours.

Why is anyone surprised at the idea of Barton not being in the 25 list for the first half of the season? He's banned and will be on loan! He could possibly make it into the 2nd half season squad.

Also, surely Hargreaves is just a 'trialist'?

I wouldnt have thought so but i think its pretty obvious by the order whos got what number. The youth dont have to be named in the 25 but the fact they have got a number means more or less the same thing, they are in his plans.

Hargreaves knows Germany very well, he's just there to drive the team bus. Nothing more.

I wouldn't read much in to this in terms of the final 25. The only thing that does seem surprising is Boothroyd being left out, is he injured or on his way out?

I have no problems with retaining Hargreaves, he's a quality player and if he's fit will be an integral part and worthy of a place in the squad.

I still like the idea of combining Kieron Dyer and Owen Hargreaves.

The indestructible version made out of the good parts would be called Dyer-Har and could chase Alan Rickman around with machine gun (wearing a changing colour vest).

Unfortunately, the leftovers would be nicknamed Harg-and-Arse and would melt within sight of the pitch....

Not yet signed option as he's, you guessed it, not yet signed ;)

Bothroyd and Helguson were both involved during the Asia tour but none of them were against Wycombe. Now Helguson is sold and there is no news on an injury on Bothroyd so the writing might well be on the wall.

Very happy to see Hargo included in the trip to Germany. Don't think anything is decided yet but if he's succesfully participating in one or both of our games there I believe we'll sign him. Quality player, would love us to take a chance on him on a one year deal with an option for a second if he plays a certain amount of games.

Bothroyd has joined the DJ, Young and Hulse club. They have no chance of playing for us again. I guess Hughes didnt like what he saw from Bothroyd which is hardly surprising because hes a NPC version of Berbertov. Lanky, lazy and about as physical as someone whos bed bound.

Im pretty sure Hargreaves will sign if he can prove his fitness. He'll do a job in Bartons absence definitely, the guys last two clubs have been Man Utd and Man City for Christ sake!

No Bothroyd and with HH going I am sure we will be in for another striker.

Far too much time on my hands mate.

We've handed over the bulk of our work to our Service Centre in India so I'm tidying up a few bits and treading water until we get given our notice (and then I can start my new job).

Going to bring in my coursework next week in the hope of them realising that I'd be just as effective on gardening leave. ;)

Hargreaves is just coming because he speaks German so he can act as a translator along with Junior.

Flyer, the list has 27 in it, less 3 youngsters makes it 24 i.e. one space still up for grabs, not 3. Or have I missed something?
