Taff I hope you are right and maybe they will be a bit down from two cup defeats over the last week or so. Just seem to be one of the teams we can't beat in the PL. I thought our performance at home was excellent and only lost by a poor mistake from Jazz. If Spurs take their chances and Kane is on his game, with Erickson pulling the strings could be a long night. Nothing for us here I fear and am going for a 1-3. Siggy with a late consolation.

I'll be over the moon with a point here.

Performance is the important thing in this game imo.

We are due a good result at spurs so im going for a 2-1 win with shelvey with his trade mark long range goal and gomis to get the winner in extra time....happy days..

In the past both teams have attempted to play flowing football and Spurs have had better players and a more settled formation so have nearly always edged the league wins.
Now we are playing 'you attack and we'll defend' it's possible we could get another Southampton type victory.

Flowing football? Just like when we went up there and didn't get a shot on target: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20656733

We went up there under previous managers and played non-pretty football, especially in the 1-0 defeat where we only had one shot on target

Yes Laudrop was pleased despite us getting nothing?..............<doh>

Regarding this game I think a draw is very very doable!..........<cheers>

I feel a bit like Lawrensen at the moment. I predicted a Man Utd win and a draw with Burnley and we got 6 points. I would normally go for a Spurs win since it's not a place we have got anything out of recently, but with new found optimism, I'll go for 1-1.

Piss off, go for a Spurs win ;)

I'm predicting a repeat of a famous 1991 league cup victory at the Vetch which I was lucky enough to witness, with a 1-0 Swans victory but instead of Jimmy Gilligan scoring, Gylfi to get the winner and Kyle Naughton to also have a stormer against his old club.

2 - 0 to Spurs methinks, but I'd love a win that would leave us only 1 point behind them and firmly in our sights.

Why do you refer to our most successful manager ever as 'Laudrop'? Are you new to Swansea? His name was Laudrup.

Well that's a good question, and I'm glad you asked, it's symbolic of what happened, when we 'dropped' him, but it could also signify the way we dropped down the league table before we dropped him too.............<laugh>

PS: You could also say we were never on the 'up' before we dropped him either........:1980_boogie_down:

I've said it on another thread so I'll stick to it for consistency.

Tottenham 1-2 Swansea

Eriksen to score a free kick for the home side, Gomis to equalise and Sigurdsson to better his old team mate and score a stunning late free kick to win it! Happy days :emoticon-0102-bigsm
