Indeed. If Gabby turns out to the be the real deal (as opposed to just going through a purple patch), then I can think of at least three positions on the pitch that need much greater attention in the summer than up front. I'd be perfectly happy with Gabby, Austin and Long if we intend to continue playing one striker.

 

If that's the case though I'd give Gallagher a go at being 4.

I wonder what Puels intentions are regarding formations.

Shame we couldn't get a draw, but I am not very upset....Spurs are a better side than they've been in the past few seasons. Not a dead cert we would lose, but no great surprise. We are in no danger of relegation and have no realistic chance of 7th, so all we have to play for is pride and the final position (both of which are important but not crucial). So I intend to chill and leave the worrying to Puel et al.

 

I'm guessing we have 2 Shane Longs and the one being slagged off today isn't the same one that got us to the league cup final?

1 - 2 weeks would be okay
2 -3 weeks would be annoying

Been a **** weekend. England lost the rugby, Saints lost to spurs, Gabbi injured. Oh, and I did my dough at Cheltenham last week.March can **** off now.

Even ignoring that goal, he has done well for us, but we can still question his future worth to us. Considering he is now 30 and completely relies on pace, I think it may be sensible to sell now.
