Yes. Especially happy for Fonte, Clyne and Pelle for obvious reasons. Two weeks............ I may finish and start another book!
Pretty good summary and very much as i saw it. The priority for Koeman is to play the game the right way and we did that. Sadly this is the first time really that Poch had any success with the pressing game. Good run coming up on paper.
Well, I have to admit that the stats did really surprise me. I thought that we had one of lowest possession games ever. I'm not sure what the stats tell us about our performance though. There is no way we dominated that despite what the stats say.
I think Tottenham just about deserved the win, but will Phil Neville be consistent and suggest we deserved a point after our late chance? After all, QPR deserved one last week...

I gotta agree, it felt like we were constantly chasing rather than being possessive. Every loose ball seemed to drop to Spurs and I kept thinking it would be nice to get the ball for 5 bloody minutes but it never seemed like we did.
Are you going to talk about us, MOTD2..? No..! You'll highlight the fact that Forster didn't have a great game, but you won't talk about what we do well AGAIN.
True. Gotta give some credit to their midfield of Chadli, Erikson and Lamela for that though. They worked really well together and stopped us getting momentum.
I think the level-headed reaction on here is as encouraging. I hope Koeman and the players react to defeat in the same way, and I'm sure they will hence the calmness on here. We were almost due a more average performance and sadly it came against a hard-working Spurs side. Good run of games coming up so let's keep racking up the points.
I used to be deeply upset by a loss, but strangely calm though disappointed. I think it's because it has been obvious that we could have lost more points in our recent good run...we haven't been sensational, just consistently good. A loss was also possible, but I remain confident in the team and the manager that we will win far more than we lose. We will have a good season and we have the points on the board (like last year) so no need to get over-stressed.
Completely agree, it felt like a s**tty game of FIFA and you can't get the ball. We were winning challenges and losing the ball instantly again, every loose ball gravitated towards a Spurs player. I don't think we played well at all but then neither did they, Forster did have a shocker unfortunately.
Forster had a poor game and but they also hit the post and had a header cleared off the line with efforts he could do nothing abouit. Just have to write it off as an off day. Line drawn etc. Onwards and upwards.
Time to chill and pray every players returns unscathed from international duty. Vile day, winter has arrived. After recent times, don't know what you do when you lose or what you do on a rainy day.
Don't tell me you were aware from watching the game that sea had more possession. Nobody expected that. Just seen this which shows I am not the only one maybe reading the game wrong. http://thepremierleagueowl.com/tottenham-vs-southampton-individual-player-statistics-2/ Davis had most touches in the game and Schneiderlin was the game's most accurate passer. Own up, who would have thought that? Surprise, surprise Wanyama made most tackles.
I don't feel strongly about the players and the manager who have left the light to be thrown forever into the outer darkness as we are having a good time. Might have felt differently if we were struggling. Now their success doesn't bother me and their failures have only mild amusement value.
