How are officials so bloody awful theses days? Adebayor clearly handballs it so a free kick to Saints, instead he gets away with it passes for the goal and then their tails are up confident with the 1-0 goal lead!!!! It's all bollocks!!
Every time Saints play Spurs, it seems like Poch's team take the lead and then **** it up second half...
Pochettinos ultra high press is causing us some issues but they're only 1 up, have already used a sub and will probably run out of energy before we do so we're still very much in this...just need to create one or two clear chances.
I suspect that at the pace they are playing and pressing they will run out of steam in the second half. Of course, not sure how much Saints have left in the tank, either.
Spurs really want this it would seem! I still think we can get something from the game though. We haven't got the midfield, and I don't know if it is me, but Vic seems to be off the pace a bit more than some. Maybe Cork for a bit more mobility and Long to stretch them a bit?
Adebayor still hates us for not signing him as a kid then? Always seems to be a handful against us, or come us with something on the ball - it's the only I reason I can think of as to why. Against everyone else he's useless. I'd say 1-0 is pretty fair, but we do tend to play better under Ron in the second half.
We've been sloppy., Mane is giving the ball away far to much down that left flank. Spurs seem to want it more! I hope Koeman has something up his sleeve.
I think we need to see a bit more form Mane, he's gonna be a key threat in this game as we need to counter quickly, and so far he's been a little wasteful. I don't think we've been too bad, we've mainly restricted Tottenham apart from two relatively short periods at the beginning and end of the half, but we need to start breaking out and making counter attacks count.
Wanyama's been okay, though I wouldn't be averse to seeing Cork come on. Thought Mane was alright too. We are getting outplayed as a whole, but there hasn't been one player or position that stands out as a weakness. Just need to tighten up.
Need to get Schneiderlin on the ball more - this would allow Davis to get a bit further forward and Pelle to look a little less isolated
