Give it up, we all know that you're KPR. It's the worst kept secret since Liverpool's interest in Charlie Adam
Not too sure about Adam and Modric - Adam gets forward more, but Modric is more of an Alonso. Apart from that, Suarez > VDV, not sure about Ade though... could cause problems. Depends whether Carroll is having a good day or not.
So will Gerrard play or not? I hope you are right about Adam not playing - especially if he is anywhere near Bale
I think adebayor seems to be being eased in? I think 'arry would prefer him to defoe though. adebayor would be meat and drink to carrgher though. vdv is 50/50 for this one but if he playes actually i'd be happy as he cuts your work rate in half and looks to be disinterested.... modric and parker in midifled v lucas and adam will be interesting.
Gerrard is very unlikely to start. Slightly more likely to be on the bench, but at this moment in time I can see it being 60/40 to him being in the squad. That formation was my ideal formation for this match though. I'm not sure whether Johnson and Kelly are fit either, both have sustained knocks but we haven't heard how bad they are.
Sorry, we refer to the role Modric plays as the Alonso role (affectionately like the Makelele role that Lucas plays in) in that he passes the ball and starts attacks, as much as I've seen from him, that's what he does.
Are you serious??? meat and drink to an old carthorse like Carragher?? I only hope Dalglish thinks that too - it'll make things a lot easier for us.
Don't make this into an argument please.. if you have a problem then there's no need to be so aggressive about it.
i find it funny that a spurs fan is defending a mercenary arsenal ex-pplayer to went to city, flopped and is now on loan at his team.... he's is only on loan you know.... Adebayor will be pulled and drgged around by carragher all day. thats "meat and drink" if you put defoe up against carragher then you see that defoe will skin him alive. simple really....
Modric is more about running with the ball, taking on defenders and over committing them to create space for other players. Alonso was more the laying deep. spraying passes everywhere, a sort of quarterback role that Tommy does for us. Didn't he even take his shots from his own half ?
Alonso got up more often than you think, yeah he liked to try 50 yard shots instead of starting a counter attack, but Alonso was just odd like that.
O.k. we'll see on Sunday. Sure Ade had problems at Citeh; but I think they were mostly a clash with Mancini. When he was with Real, he was frequently getting in the team ahead of both Benzema & Higuain - you don't do that unless you're a bit useful.
One of my favourite Liverpool moments was when Alonso took a shot from his own half, was getting a bollocking off Gerard for not passing which stopped the moment they realised it was going in
