Can Spurs turn the tie around at Wembley, tonight?

  1. You are judging the old HIAG by his former standards, Pix.

This thread was started by the new HIAG.

I didn't know how this tie would turn out, any better than anyone else. If we hadn't lost Alli to his stupidity, I believe we could have turned the tie round. But who could have predicted that Alli would have lost the plot and get sent off for trying to break another player's leg? You won't know this, but his stupidity has been roundly condemned on the Spurs board. You won't find a single Spurs fan who will try to justify what he did.

How is this a wum thread?

I genuinely want to know. If you can point out to me why you think it's a wum thread, I can work harder, on future threads, to try to ensure that they are not perceived as wum attempts.

  2. I've always loved Roofie, mate. Even on those few occasions when he's gone rogue and turned on me.

Prediction : The Swans will take 3 points off of Chelsea this weekend starting a firestorm of jockeying for the top 6 teams . And don't count the other " United " out of it

  13. I did anticipate that reply, G4E.

You are correct, that Bayern is, by far and away, a better side than Gent. But you know how this works. We took Chelsea apart, not so long ago, ending their unbeaten run in the Prem, and yet we struggled against Wycombe Wanders ffs!

I say again, that if Alli hadn't got sent off for his act of madness and stupidity, I believe we would have turned this tie around. Instead, we played most of the match with 10 men, and ended up getting a draw. Is 2-2 under those circumstances a worse result than 1-5 against Bayern? No, not in my opinion.

And that is my honest opinion. I do not think any less of you for taking a different opinion. Indeed, I am genuinely interested in hearing your justification for that.

Please, accept the spirit in which I offer to enter into this debate, and do not simply write off my comments in a series of the usual non sequiturs. I am genuinely trying to engage you lads in a serious debate.

Yeah, I know! That's the kind of stupid **** that the old HIAG would have come out with. Not me. I've changed mate.

Power to your palate, Roofie, old bean!

    Forget the waffle mate.

Is the 'new' HIAG prepared to admit that the 'old' HIAG is a stupid **** for leaving himself open for complete ridicule, for trying to wum Spurs' superior North London neighbours, Arsenal, in europe.

    Yes or No ?

  19. Spurs have been no worse than certain other teams with greater recent European experience than us, CFC.

I'm not saying that I'm proud of Spurs tonight - because I definitely am not - but let's keep a degree of honesty in this debate.
