Bette Davies once said "Pleasure of love lasts but a moment, Pain of love lasts a lifetime."
All of us would absolutely agree with that!

This Saturday will see Spurs take a huge step nearer to the good old days of no VAR.

Brighton will rock up (see wot I did there?) and stuff us (geddit? Stuffed Chicken? FFS there's no pleasing some of you).

Vicario is rumoured to be back after his recent groin op...and the club insist it was not to gve him the bollocks needed to claim the ball at corners.

Onion eyes Romero is out so he can ensure he is fit for Argentina this summer.

It been disclosed that the injury set back suffered by Kudas is that he severely pulled his abdominal muscles laughing at the idea that Barcelona and Real Madrid were wanting to pay good money for Romero and VDV.

De Zerbi has been trying to get the team to understand they there is a place for them all at the club but it appears Gallagher is outraged to be told his is as a car park attendant.

The club have had give Porro a Sat Nav because his tendancy to go down dead ends has now extended to his driving.

There was a plan that one of the local ophan, homeless children was going to be given a signed spurs shirt before kick off but they said they'd never get adopted if they belittled themselves to that extent so they declined the offer.

When De Zeberbi walks out onto the pitch on Saturday he will be the third Spurs manager to do so this season...which one more than the number of home wins we have had this season. <yikes>

But as Ghandi once said "Everyone can find tranquility and inner peace...just look inwards, smile at the small things and think '**** arsenal' ... COYFS"

Once we reach the bottom of this particular Spurs nadir whether that is the Championship or the Premier League basement. I predict (because that's my football role) that we will then enter one of the most successful periods in our history. That's what Spurs do, it's what they have done before a number of times, and it's what they will do again. The up side of being Spursy.

If we bin Lange and 90% of the board off, I’d be inclined to agree, there is so much potential for this club to be great.

But whether we stay or go this season, if the idiots in charge are still here, success for Spurs will only be achieved on FIFA or Football Manager.

But until then or PNPs return you'll have to read my what passes for my mind poured onto a screen pretending to be a passable match thread <laugh>

Maddison and Bentancur back training.

Neither will be 100% before the season finishes but I’d take both in the side over any of the midfielders at present. Maddison’s creativity especially could be huge if we can get some minutes out of him.

Far too soon to consider risking Maddison. He could be pivotal for the last 3 or 4 games but I wouldn't risk him yet.

I'd have no qualms in adding Bentancur to the squad, although not sure Bentancur would add anything tbh. He was more of a liability before his injury and hasn't ever recovered from his major injury period.

It’s desperate times at the moment though, even 15 mins of him is better than 90 of Simons/ Bergvall in that 10 spot.

Post-ACL Bentancur was still better than any of the current crop, such is how bad they’ve all been.

Agree Bentancur hasn’t been good but like DH says, he’s better than the current options.

Somehow Spurs have midfielders that don’t excel at anything defensively or offensively.

I was totally fine with the idea of not seeing Bentancur in a Spurs shirt ever again.

Then we signed Connor Gallagher.

I can already see some fans getting tricked by Gallagher next season when he looks good in the championship, then they’ll be surprised when he’s **** again in the Prem (assuming Spurs coming back straight away)

The gap between the two leagues is big so I hope people keep that in mind (some of you still vastly overrate most of the squad)

The main reason Maddison's been out all season is because we didn't think "Hmm, he's recovered from a bad knee injury, maybe give him his first run-out in a match a little closer to home than Seoul..."
