Oh, don't mind Ozzie! If you didn't know him, you'd think he was insulting me. But that's what mates are like. He's a little rascal, and that's what I love about him.

No it doesn't but it certainly helps. When you are comparing players, what they have won in the game is one of the biggest factors, plus personal accolades etc. Some players will win a lot in good sides like Gary Neville who was a solid but hardly world class full back. Had he been in a mid table side, most people wouldn't have thought much of it. He was however in sides full of top top players so won loads. However the CFC players I originally mentioned weren't fringe players but players that played a major part in the C.L win (and many other trophies too for some). How can anyone seriously say Cole wouldn't walk into Spurs' team for instance when you consider what he's won, the 100 England caps, all the plaudits he gets from fans, players, pundits etc. Some Spurs defenders have had good seasons but a swallow don't make a summer and I maintain that until they do it at the highest level on a consistent basis, they can't be compared to the players I mentioned. Bale is at the moment the exception to that because his level is current a step above most other players in the league and it is clear that in the right side he would win things too. But when you're saying who would you pick at centre back for a Chelsea / Spurs 11, I'll take the England and Brazil international C.L winners over Spurs' ones for instance; as they are proven winners.
My point was you pulled up Purley for using the word 'have' instead of 'of' , but then you yourself used 'of' when it should have been 'off'. (ie as in **** off ) I think that is called Irony unless you wish to correct me on this.
