It's Saturday, and time to guess the score: Today I think that Tottenham will get FOUR! (The Barcodes? I'm predicting that they will Go goalless at the Lane, and end with NIL.) It's time to name the players who will score: And first I'm backing that young Livermore; Defoe (no Harry? Will he find the door?); And finally, the men to make it four? That's Scottie Parker and Adebayor! And just before we finish, this as well - oh! You can't leave, Harry, to replace Capello! (Just when the jury set you free as well.....) We've gone and locked the doors at WHL !! COYS!
Serves me right! I'd predicted 5 goals for us twice in the last three games. Got cold feet today (and while watching!). Bloody Ade - if he hadn't shocked us all by scoring in the second half......... still he got me a couple of points as one of my goal-scorers - the only one who did, too - thank heavens we had a linesperson who knew the offside rule at last - that's some consolation, I suppose. Delighted for him really - and didn't he play well today - the goal no more than he deserved. The partnership with Saha looks very promising! What a team performance, though. Glory days (and evenings)! Phew!
It's a problem. Either I'm inspired by the muse of poetry. Or it's my psychic powers to predict correct results. I just seem to find it difficult to combine the two. (Look how difficult Eric Cantona found it to write decent poetry when he was still playing.............) But I'm working on it.
