I’m firmly in the camp of those who saw Thursday night as a major step forward. Not quite euphoric, but believing we now have a very good chance of completing the victory over the Frankfurters. Such a solid team performance all round. And during the intermission, we now face a very wobbnly wolves. They have a knack, of course, of winning game s when you least exlect them to do so. I have no illusions that this will actually be easy – but I do think our team are now, at last, beginning to play like a proper Spurs team, and are highly motivated. And want to prove themselves. Here’s Selina Gomez to sing a song of encouragement! In my eyes? Only white and blue! Game to win, not to lose! Looking fine, and that’s the truth. (Some “fans” will whine – not what I choose.) I wanna feel the way that I did on Thursday night, right? Loved the good feeling: relaxed, but not quite on a high. We’ll be running through the midfield, We’ll be running through the Wolves, And we’ll get through, and we’ll get through! Your team’s down and looking shakey, Like a team that’s leaving soon - And we’ll beat you, and we’ll beat you! We’ve found a game to make us stronger Just the job to please our Angie: We’ll beat you, yeah, we’ll beat you We’ll be running through the midfield, Won’t be crying with the Wolves! And we’ll beat you, and we’ll beat you, and we’ll beat you! ’Cos we’ll get through - ’Cos we’ll get through. No fingertip saves – we’ll win! - Not sluggish like we’ve sometimes been. Slowly we’re recovering…. Break down those wings and get two in! I wanna feel etc We’ll be running etc Oh, yeah, we’ll get through x 2 We’ll be running etc And we’ll beat you, and we’ll beat you, and we’ll beat you! ------------------------------------------------------------------- Prediction: Wolves 1 Spurs 2 Scorers: Solanke, Bergvall Cheers, Spurf!
