First of all, commiserations to our runner up who led for much of the season only to be pipped at the post.

Beating the lowest winning score by one point to record 163 points, OUR WINNER and now 2 time champion Left on the Shelf** congratulations to him on a fantastic effort.

Sorry I didn't manage to make it to the hundred points - as you were hoping, Spurf!
I stood/sat there on Sunday, and as each goal went in down in front of me
I winced at the terminal strikes which killed my prediction
(as well as the pain of watching our team losing yet again, anyway!).
At 1-2, I was praying for an equaliser by one of my nominated scorers,
both of whom were on the pitch by the end of the game.
A draw! That would have meant the four points I needed! Ho-hum...
Football is still all about fine margins...........
