My friend you have such a talent with these lyrics. I cannot tell you how much I loathe this song, but with your lyrics on top of it I am sitting here singing along, hoping against hope that nobody else is in the building. Almost every week you surprise me so much with how good at this you are. Do you write for any less refined company than ourselves?
Wow! Such kind words, SD. And the thought of your warbling away to one of my distorted ditties brought a broad smile to my features! I'm so pleased you appreciate what I try to do each week. And motivated to carry on when I get such appreciation. I do feel I'm among friends on here. And no, I don't write for anyone else these days - I used to write materials and informative stuff for teachers and parents - and political leaflets etc (at election time mostly, but not exclusively). These songs are now the main channel for my urge to put fingers to keyboard. I did write a would-be humorous account of an amateur cricket tour to Australia years ago, but failed to persuade anyone to publish it. But one day I might get round to trying to publish my personal account of the experience of fatherhood, which came to me extremely late in life! I have the materials, but they aren't ordered as yet. One day...... ps I don't much like this song, either! Not all the songs I choose are within my taste range!
Twatkinson plus Hugo big match brain farts make it unlikely. However, if Poch picks Gazza and Twatkinson pulls up in the warm up, you could be on to a winner.
