Really good news, the first bit of positivity we’ve had about Skipp for a while.
The Pathetic ran a piece today about it, pointing the finger at a painkilling injection causing an infection

Given that (IIRC) Dan KP first mentioned an infection after a groin injury 3-4 weeks ago, I'll leave it to everyone else to decide if The Pathetic got a scoop or if they're just repeating already established information with a slight embellishment to justify the £7.99 a month...

How long has he been out and now he has the surgery?
Hope it all works out for him, but this is worrying.

Sadly this is probably the end of the line for Japhet. He was already well out of form before getting injured and I can't see Conte waiting until deep into next season for him to start delivering on his promise. Maybe on loan but I think it's likely we'll sign another CB in the summer and he'll drop further down the pecking order.

As for Ryan, looks like he faces another month out and I'm afraid it's time to move him on. This is his fourth injury this season and he is set to have been unavailable for selection for a minimum 25 fixtures before his next return. Also worth mentioning he missed the whole of pre-season too. His record is similar to Lamela but he has half the ability. Not worth persisting imo and if a decent offer comes in, we should sell and move on.

With Sess, I imagine we’ll keep him for continuity of Regulion leaves, but if Reggie stays then we’ll probably look to move him on.

Ben Davies has returned to Hotspur Way and will miss as the Wales v Czech friendly....no reason given yet, but you just know, don't you? <doh>

Cant rest him

Levy/ENIC havent provided the manager with quality squad depth as of yet

Perhaps Conte cannot assemble and manage a PL squad
that must deal with the demands of the domestic competitions +
UEFA land (re his 2016-17 and 2017-18 PL seasons) .

Pros and cons I guess. Hopefully that completely sorts his issue out and he returns for a full pre-season 100% ready to go for next season.

**** that we can’t call upon him for this season though, been sorely missed.

Doubly irritating as Alfie Devine has a knock

...as if he, Harvey White or Jamie Bowden are coming off the bench before pre-season
